Without Headlights

Horrible title. Less horrible composition.

I hate making titles!

This was the third piece I wrote in college for Freund's Composition class.

The inspiration for this piece was born from a fleeting obsession with Dreaming Tree by Dave Matthews Band, particularly the live performance at Piedmont Park (2007). I just took that main riff/sound from their jam part and ran with it.

It was performed by the New Music Ensemble on March 12, 2010. This was early NME and the instrumentation was strange, but it was fun to write for.
