Lydian
A song about Germany, life, and admiration.This song is about lots of things, but notably about a woman I knew in college. A real-life Hermione Granger. I worked on it here and there 2013-2015. The earliest idea I had was the repeated chord intro. I was dogsitting for Steve and Shinx and I just had this idea to bang on the piano with glorious lydian light. For some reason I always pictured Suzy Williams doing some primal scream and dance thing over it. I thought about it while I lived in Alaska and Germany. I snuck a few German words in there.
Overall, this song feels pretty close to me. The lyrics don't sound too bad and they are packed with references in my life. I'm happy with the music too.
